Paula MP. en EE.UU. - Capítulo 4 - November, a month to remember
NOVEMBER, A MONTH TO REMEMBER
He visitado otro estado, Texas.
¡He vivido mi primer acción de gracias!
English
This months has been crazy too since literally the first day. I could say that my heart beat faster than normal.
Suim and I as I already said, we are in homecoming court, and so we had to take pictures with our escorts and the rest court students.
I still play with my team, i learn how to show what i have a Little bit more everyday, show what I´m worth, with my team´s help and my coach, the one that i admire, because she coaches us how to play on the court and in life.
My host family and my Exchange sister are my big support, they show me more everyday. I consider they deserve their own chapter, and if they do not have it yet, is because i need more time to write.
I’ve visited another state, Texas. I went to a Reinassance festival, I ate a turkey leg (that was not small), I walked, a lot, i got a henna tatoo and i had a Good time.
I’ve lived my first Thanksgiving! The food was very good; the leftovers of the next two days were as good as the first day. This celebration made me realize that we have to give thanks for what we have everyday, because we could simply not have it.
Black Friday is crazy here too, but nothing new.
It seems to be a normal month for an Exchange student but now it comes the best part.
I went to Mexico on a cruise!
It was a great experience, I ate all what I wanted and could. They were four days that i wish I could have made longer. I could say that it was a great vacation, but i consider this year a vacation too, so let’s say they were one vacation inside another.
The fact that i visited two very different countries in such a small time so “easily” and without my biological parents fascinates me and makes me realize how much are Suim and I growing with this experience. We have created our own lifes with 16/17 years old. Our minds work different now. The teenage dramas doesn’t affect us as much as not having washed the school uniform, not making the dinner when we had to or forgetting our wallet because we are the ones who pay what they buy.
I have learned to give more value to the money and the things that i buy; to give them value and give value to the time too. Because I have already been here for four months and I feel it as one.
This month I have learned that I will always be my best friend, although I am meeting a lot of great people. I have also learned that my family will always be there to support me in spite of the distance and that I feel very lucky of being where I am and being as I am. My english improves every month eventhough I still get confused and I have got an accent.
To finish. I don’t regret coming here; because eventhough everyone asks how did two Exchange students end in a small town in the middle of nowhere, this two Exchange students always have a big smile on their faces and the eyes wide open because they love this place and this people.
We have got our homecoming next week and we are very excited. But that is another month, another story and so, another chapter.
Until then lovely readers.
Remember to always enjoy the little things.
