Ciao! We’re writing from Dublin!
We took the flight in Milan Bergamo Airport (as you know, pretty early) and we arrived in Dublin at 7 in the morning on Saturday. During the flight we could rest a little bit so we could have energy for this incredible adventure.
Once we were in the capital of beautiful Ireland, we went to the meeting point, where our host families were already waiting for us. We met them and we could spend some time with them over lunch.
And after getting everything ready in our new rooms, we went to the city centre for a walking tour around Dublin. This way, we could discover its history and we could know the city a little bit better. When we finished, we had some free time and then we went back home with out host families for dinner.
And on Sunday we went to the zoo! It’s located inside Phoenix Park: the biggest park in Dublin. The ragazzi spent the morning here learning interesting facts about animals from all over the world. We were surrounded by elephants, foxes, gorillas, tigers… A safari without leaving Dublin!
After lunch, we headed to the city centre by walking following the river and we explored some other popular streets, where we hadn’t been before (Grafton’s Street, O’Connell Street…). Even though the Irish weather is quite «moody», we had a very nice afternoon!
Even though some things are new for us, we enjoyed our first weekend here and we can’t wait to start the week and keep learning (and having fun!).
